China is likely to publicize plans boosting trade and logistics in the first half year to reduce logistics cost and improve commodity circulation efficiency during 2016 and 2020, said Shen Danyang, spokesman of the Ministry of Commerce (MOC) Wednesday.
MOC, who initiated the sector planning as early as in 2015, said it would formulate as soon as possible the plans in five years starting 2016 which also includes plans on developing E-commerce logistics and trade and logistics in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei Province.
Currently, China's trade sector still suffers from high logistics cost due to low efficiency in coordinated development of transportation, and distribution infrastructure, which will be stressed in the plans.
