Northwest China's Shaanxi Province will build ten industrial clusters each worth 100 billion yuan, including coal chemical industry, automobile, aerospace, integrated circuit, intelligent terminal, etc., during the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-2020), according to the local authorities.
During the period from 2016 to 2020, Shaanxi will promote high-end development of characteristic advantaged industries. While prompting the manufacturing industry to realize intelligent, refined and green transformation, it will quicken the pace to cultivate and expand scale of strategic emerging industries such as the new-generation information technology and new materials industry, and accelerate Internet plus manufacturing, energy, agriculture, commerce and trade, logistics, and finance, according to Fang Weifeng, head of Shaanxi Provincial Development and Reform Commission.
In addition, Shaanxi will quicken the pace to develop modern service industry including finance, logistics, information service, tourism, and health care and pensions in 2016-2020. The province aims to bring proportion of the service industry to its gross domestic product (GDP) to 45 percent by 2020, Fang added.
