China's non-financial outbound direct investment (ODI) in countries along the Belt and Road routes surged 4.8 percent year on year to 12.96 billion U.S. dollars in the first 11 months of the year, accounting for 12.4 percent of the total, yidaiyilu.gov.cn reported on Thursday.

The investment mainly injected to Singapore, Laos, Pakistan, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, and Cambodia.

Regarding the contracted projects overseas, the number of the contracts signed by the Chinese enterprises in countries along the Belt and Road reached 3,640 during the period, and the value of the newly-signed contracts amounted to 90.43 billion U.S. dollars, down 20.3 percent year on year, accounting for 48.4 percent of the total value for the same period.

During the period, Chinese enterprises have completed sales revenue of 73.66 billion U.S. dollars along the Belt and Road, up 12.6 percent year on year, accounting for 54.3 percent of the total amount for the period. (Edited by Jiang Feifan, Ma Xin)
