Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, a province-level region in south China, saw its import and export value with the Belt and Road countries and regions grow 15.5 percent year on year in January-October this year.
Guangxi completed an import and export value of 125.76 billion yuan with the Belt and Road countries and regions in January-October. Among that, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) accounted for 110.77 billion yuan, up 17.2 percent on year, which continued to be the largest trade partner of Guangxi.
As the Belt and Road construction proceeds, Guangxi will embrace an important opportunity of opening-up, said analysts. Chinese president Xi Jinping first proposed the "Belt and Road" initiative (the initiative on the construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road) in 2013.
