The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), China's top economic planner, approved five highway projects on Monday.
Involving a total investment of 71.07 billion yuan, these five projects include a highway between Wenchang and Qionghai in Hainan province, the Beijing-Qinhuangdao highway's Daan-Pinan section in Hebei province, Beijing-Hebei section and Hebei-Tianjin section, a highway linking Weiyuan and Wudu in Gansu province, a highway linking Wanning and Yangpu in Hainan province and a highway linking Weicheng and Rizhao in Shandong province.
