Hong Kong's Acting Chief Executive John Tsang said on Tuesday that the government of the special administrative region will closely monitor the trend of U. S. rate hike which is still uncertain.

Speaking ahead of the Executive Council Meeting this morning, Tsang said to the media that it has been a while that the situation of the U.S. rate hike stays uncertain as the Federal Reserve depends on data to decide whether or not to raise interest rate. The Federal Reserve's view has been changing, causing the market to fluctuate, he added.

The United States also has a concern for the impact on global economy, if Britain withdraws from the European Union, Tsang said, noting that many international affairs can affect the decision of the United States.
