HONG KONG, Oct. 16 (Xinhua) -- Chief Executive of China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Carrie Lam started to deliver the 2019 policy address on Wednesday morning, highlighting livelihood issues including housing and land supply.
The 2019 policy address, delivered at a meeting of the HKSAR Legislative Council, is Lam's third policy address since she was sworn in on July 1, 2017.
Lam has revealed at a media briefing on Tuesday that this year's policy address will come up with over 200 new initiatives in various areas, and some of the initiatives have been announced by the principal officials of the HKSAR government because of recent special circumstances.
Lam said her speech on Wednesday will be more focused on housing and land supply, which is "the most important livelihood issue that the chief executive should address."
