GENEVA, Nov. 8 (Xinhua) -- Swiss health supplements and pharmaceuticals company Domaco is bullish about its growth outlook as it plans new product launches such as vitamin jellies for children in the Chinese marketplace.
"The Chinese market is continuously growing and opens its market for imported products of high value," Stan Ebneter, international sales director at Domaco, told Xinhua via video call during the fourth China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai.
The time-honored Swiss food and pharma development firm, which exports products to more than 40 countries, has been attending the CIIE since its inception and is now exhibiting for the fourth time.
"The CIIE gives us the opportunity to let the Chinese people know more about our products," Ebneter said.
Domaco manufactures a wide range of products for the pharmaceutical, nutritional and food sectors such as lozenges, soft gummies, pastilles, tablets and instants enriched with minerals, vitamins, herbs or fruit.
Ebneter said he is upbeat about Domaco's performance in China in 2021 with a positive outlook into 2022, despite the impact from the COVID-19 pandemic, because of the nature of the health business and the efficacy of the Chinese vaccines.
Ebneter highlighted Domaco was not only active in e-commerce business, but also aimed to supply more health products in brick-and-mortar stores across China.
Domaco's aim in 2022 is to strengthen the promotion of its brand and product assortment and to make it "available to many more Chinese people," be it the baby and kids drink product range or multi-vitamin jellies for young and elderly people to "further improve their lives and health," Ebneter said.
Domaco's focus at this year's CIIE, he said, is on two innovations freshly launched in China, namely "two special jellies for kids, one with natural fruit juices, and one with natural berry juice extracts, both with Vitamin C to support the immune system."
The company is also presenting its latest product developments such as a new beauty drink, eyesight defense gummies, immune soft gummies, or brain force soft gummies at the expo, the director added.
