JINAN, June 20 (Xinhua) -- East China's Shandong Province reported a trade volume of 1.27 trillion yuan (189.8 billion U.S. dollars) in the first five months of this year, up 17.3 percent year on year, the provincial government said Friday.
Shandong's exports rose 19.1 percent and imports 13.5 percent year on year in May, said Lyu Wei, deputy head of the provincial commerce department.
Faced with multiple challenges such as the complex international economic situation, Shandong has introduced over 30 policies and measures to stabilize foreign trade this year, Lyu said.
