China's paper industry generated 515.5 billion yuan of main operating turnover in the first eight months of 2015, up 3.2 percent year on year, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced on Thursday evening.
Meanwhile, it reaped 20.24 billion yuan of total profit, up 5.8 percent year on year, and paid 13.29 billion yuan in taxes, up 1.8 percent year on year.
China's paper industry posted a sales-output ratio of 97.4 percent in the period, up 0.1 percentage point year on year; and its accumulated export delivery amounted to 18.92 billion yuan, down 12.5 percent year on year.
In August, the sales-output ratio went up 0.2 percent year on year to 97.9 percent, and the export delivery value dropped 15.3 percent to 2.41 billion yuan.
In the first eight months, China's machine-made paper and paperboard output accumulated to 77.16 million tonnes, up 0.1 percent year on year. In August, the output was 9.89 million tonnes, up 0.4 percent year on year.
