Chinese natural gas consumption expanded 9.7 percent year on year to 18.1 billion cubic meters in November, said a release by the National Development and Reform Commission on Tuesday.
China produced 11.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas in November up 0.1 percent year on year. Meanwhile, natural gas imports totaled 6.1 billion cubic meters in the month, increasing 15.4 percent year on year. In Jan.-Nov., China generated 119 billion yuan of natural gas rising 3.3 percent year on year.
National natural gas imports and natural gas consumption totaled 54.4 billion cubic meters and 165 billion cubic meters in the first 11 months of 2015, with year-on-year growth of 4.7 percent and 3.7 percent, respectively.
