China produced 33.87 million metric tons (tonnes) of major base metals in the first eight months of 2015, up 9.4 percent year on year, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on Sunday.
In August, output of the ten major nonferrous metals in China increased 9.4 percent year on year to 4.41 million tonnes, said the NBS.
