The graphene industry will embrace a golden period for development as a research team in Republic of Korea (ROK) developed the technology of turning asphalt into graphene, the cnmn.com.cn reported on Friday.
As a new material, graphene has attracted high attention from Chinese authorities who rolled out a series of policies to accelerate innovative development of the industry. The new graphene extraction technology developed by the ROK is economic and environmental.
Once the technology is put into commercial use, the development prospect will be promising, said analysts.
Chinese listed companies including Hubei Guochuang Hi-Tech Material Inc. (002377.SZ) and Jiangsu Baoli Asphalt Co., Ltd (300135.SZ) are engaged in the modified asphalt business.
