China aims to basically establish a safe, efficient, environmental-friendly and intelligent transport system by 2020, www.zgjtb.com reported Monday, citing Minister of Transport Yang Chuantang.
Efforts will be made to improve transportation in underdeveloped areas, push forward major infrastructure projects, accelerate construction of logistics corridors, deepen reform in the taxi sector, popularize intelligent IC cards for public transport and the electronic toll collection system, step up construction of public information platforms, and strengthen pollution control over the coming five years, according to the report.
