In late New York trading, the euro was down to 1.1104 U.S. dollars from 1.1113 dollars in the previous session, and the British pound was down to 1.3058 U.S. dollars from 1.3101 dollars in the previous session. The Australian dollar declined to 0.6852 U.S. dollar from 0.6873 dollar.
The U.S. dollar bought 109.50 Japanese yen, higher than 109.22 Japanese yen of the previous session. The U.S. dollar decreased to 0.9730 Swiss franc from 0.9737 Swiss franc, and it increased to 1.3080 Canadian dollars from 1.3029 Canadian dollars.
