China's power coal prices continue to fall due to high inventories and tepid demand from power plants.
The 1509 power coal contract traded on the Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange ended lower for the tenth consecutive trading day on Monday, ending at 426 yuan per metric ton (tonne), marking a drop of more than 7 percent from ten days ago.
Analysts say prices of power coal are unlikely to bottom out in the near term as downstream demand shows no clear sign of improvement.
