The pilot operation of the Shanghai-Hong Kong stock connect program recorded stable and orderly performance over the past one year since its launch on November 17, 2014, said Gui Minjie, chairman of Shanghai Stock Exchange, on Tuesday.
Gui said at a seminar for celebrating the one-year anniversary of the program held by Shanghai Stock Exchange on Tuesday that the performance of the pilot operation of the program met earlier expectations.
The Shanghai Stock Exchange and Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited jointly launched the program on November 17, 2014 to give access to investors on both sides to trade each other's shares under the program.
