The index touched a new one-year low, with six gainers and 54 decliners for its components.
The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index lost 1.53 percent to end at 8,368.49 points. The Hang Seng Tech index fell 1.16 percent to close at 6,028.63 points.
Chinese sportswear stocks were the bright spots, with Li Ning and Anta Sports both up more than 1 percent, according to Hong Kong-based financial information provider AskLORA.
