China's State Council Leading Group Office of Poverty Alleviation and Development (CPAD) will promote the e-commerce poverty alleviation campaign and include e-commerce into the poverty alleviation system to enhance the efficiency, said a CPAD official on August 29 in northeast China's Jilin province.

The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Commerce released the list of 200 demonstrative counties for the e-commerce entering rural area campaign in 2015, which will earmark a special fund to facilitate e-commerce development in rural area and construct logistics distribution system that connects counties, towns and villages. Internet will bring a huge opportunity for the poverty-stricken area by integrating quality products in the poverty-stricken area and putting them into the market.

Huang Shaozu, vice president of China Association of Poverty Alleviation and Development, said Internet platform and similar innovative measures will be able to solve the problems of logistics, credit loan, and training and make the poverty alleviation more precise and effective.
