China to expedite business,trade transformation and upgrading

Chinese cabinet - the State Council, has issued guidelines to expedite business and trade transformation and upgrading, according to an announcement posted the government portal - www.gov.cn Tuesday.

The government mapped out 18 detailed measures to this end on technology application innovation, products and services innovation, retails sector reform, wholesale transformation, logistics development mode changing, life services facilitation, business services innovation, intelligent urban business, rural market modernization, domestic and international markets integration and adding financial supports in this regard.

For instance, it highlighted faster application of such modern information technologies as mobile internet, big data, the internet of things, cloud computing, Beidou navigation satellite system, location-based services and biological recognition in business processes including certification, transaction, payment and logistics

. The guidelines also encouraged retail operators to transform their business modes and digitize their stores with internet technologies. The government vowed to actively foster online life services covering food, hotel, travel, tourism and entertainment and boost smart city construction by encouraging qualified cities to explore experience-style smart business circles with interactive online and offline business and wireless internet infrastructure construction in business circles.

Nowadays, the inherent value of retails industry has been increasing thus China's internet giants may continue to select firms with scene value to penetrate into offline business or for cooperation, says a latest report from Essence Securities.

Under such circumstances, investment opportunities may appear for stocks of such companies as Suning Commerce Group Co., Ltd. (002024.SZ), Yonghui Superstores Co., Ltd. (601933.SH), Zhejiang Material Industrial Zhongda Yuantong Group Co., Ltd. (600704.SH), Chengdu Hongqi Chain Co., Ltd. (002697.SZ) and Xi'an Minsheng Group Co., Ltd. (000564.SZ).
