Aussie dollar stabilizes around past two-week average

SYDNEY, Jan. 14 (Xinhua) -- The Australian dollar eased against the greenback on Thursday, stabilizing around the past two-week average.

At 07:00 (AEST), the Australian dollar was buying 77.41 U.S. cents, down from 77.72 U.S. cents on Wednesday.

The Aussie continued to hover between 77 and 78 U.S. cents, where it has spent the majority of the year so far.

At 09:30 (AEST), the local unit was buying 77.37 U.S. cents.
