Mr. Vaughn Barber

Vaughn is KPMG’s Head of China Outbound ，Asia Pacific Regional Leader, Mergers & Acquisitions Tax , Director of AustCham Beijing (China-Australia Chamber of Commerce in Beijing).

A fluent Mandarin speaker, Vaughn has extensive experience leading global teams to assist Chinese state-owned and privately-owned companies conduct large-scale overseas M&A transactions in various sectors including energy and power, mining, financial services, manufacturing and infrastructure.

Vaughn joined KPMG Hong Kong from Australia in 1996 and became a partner in July 2000. After working in Hong Kong for nearly 15 years Vaughn relocated to Beijing in early 2011 where he continues to provide tax advisory services to Chinese outbound investors.

Vaughn is currently a director of the China-Australia Chamber of Commerce in Beijing. He also served as a member of the Study Group established by the Bauhinia Foundation Research Centre from 2007 to assess the business competitiveness of Hong Kong’s tax system and provide recommendations on tax policy changes and priorities.

冯先生现任毕马威中国海外投资业务主管, 毕马威企业并购税务服务亚太区主管合伙人, 中国澳大利亚商会理事。拥有澳洲特许会计师协会会员，香港会计师公会资深会员等专业资格。

冯先生汉语流利，经常带领全球服务团队协助中国国有企业和私营企业进行大型境外并购交易，涉及行业包括能源与电力、矿业、金融服务、制造业和基础设施行业。

冯先生于1996年从澳大利亚迁至香港并加入毕马威香港，并于2000年晋升为合伙人。在毕马威香港任职近15年后，冯先生于2011年初调任毕马威北京分所，继续致力于为向海外投资的中国投资者提供税务咨询服务。

冯先生现任中国澳大利亚商会（北京）理事。自2007年起，冯先生还担任“智经研究中心”所设立的研究小组成员，负责评估香港税制的商业竞争力并为税务政策变化和重点税务事项建言献策。
