The Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee's proposal for China's development over the next five years has named 10 key industries for development in the coming five years, including a new generation of information and communication technology.
The other nine industries are numerically-controlled machine tools and robots, aerospace equipment, ocean engineering equipment and high technology ships, advanced rail transit equipment, energy conservation and new energy cars, electrical equipment, agricultural machinery, new materials, biological medicine and high performance medical devices.
The 10 industries, which represent the development direction of Chinese manufacturing, will be the priority among priorities in Chinese industrial development over the next few years, said senior analyst Li Jin.
There will be more official moves to upgrade the economy into a global manufacturing power and cultivate strategic industries, said the proposal released on Tuesday.
