Multiple local governments in China have prioritized energy equipment sector for development in the coming five years in a bid to drive economic growth, according to a report by Shanghai Securities News on Thursday
. Northwest China's Xinjiang stressed the importance of equipment manufacturing for new energy, new material, petroleum and chemical as well as power transmission and distribution sectors. Production of fan blade and photovoltaic panels is targeted as major tax contributor in northwest China's Gansu province. Chinese capital Beijing would develop strategic new sectors including new energy, new materials as well as energy saving and environmental protection.
North China's Hebei province plans to develop new energy, new materials, energy saving and environmental protection as well as new energy automobiles taking advantage of big data.
