Hebei province is going to step up industrial structural adjustment and focus on developing emerging industries in 2016-2020. According to report on work of Hebei provincial government, Hebei province will accelerate elimination of outdated capacity, and control steel, cement, and flat glass capacity with 200 million tonnes, 2million tonnes, and 200 million weight boxes respectively by the end of 2020.
Meanwhile, Hebei province will cultivate a bunch of emerging industries in 2016-2020with focus on advanced equipment manufacturing, modern information technologies, biological medicine, new energy and new materials, energy saving and environmental protection, and new energy vehicles.
By the end of 2020, added value of strategic emerging industries is expected to weigh more than 20 percent of the provincial total. Besides, Hebei would promote development of modern service industry and agricultural modernization in 2016-2020.
