China CITIC Bank (601998.SH; 00998.HK)will release the first domestic cross-border RMB payment platform soon and upgrade its cross-border e-commerce forex payment platform, said Guo Danghuai vice-president of the bank at a press conference on Thursday.
According to Guo, CITIC's cross-border payment platform has access to seven internet payment suppliers including Alipay, Qianbao, Yiji.com, Chinaums, Easy Bonus Card, Chinagpay.com and Yeepay.com. The transaction value of the platform has reached 1.5 billion yuan in the first half of this year.
