China Southern Airline (600029.SH), the No.1 airline in Asia, will take Beijing's new airport as its major base and put no less than 100 airplanes in service in the airport when it operates in 2019.

China Southern Airline and Capital Airports Holding Company (CAH; 00694.HK) have signed an agreement on the base construction issue last Sunday. The airline also promises to increase the fleet to 150 in the airport.

The new airport, so called the second Capital Airport, will be located in the south of China's capital city, neighboring Hebei Province. The construction of the airport is one of measures of collaborative development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei.

China Southern Airline has put 58 airplanes including A380 planes and A330 planes in use in the existing Capital International Airport.
