China's IT company Beijing Xiaomi Technology released on Tuesday a new mobile phone model Xiaomi 4C together with the mobile telecom resell business, Xiaomi Mobile, which is expected to provide better telecom services to customers.
Lei Jun, founder and CEO of Xiaomi Technology, said Xiaomi 4C is an upgraded version of Xiaomi 4I that released in April to the international market.
The new mobile phone model will be available from Wednesday both on Xiaomi Technology's official website and Tmall.com, China's largest B2C e-commerce site running by Alibaba Group (BABA.NYSE).
Xiaomi Technology received the business licenses for mobile telecom resell services from China Unicom (CHU.NYSE; 00762.HK; 600050.SH) and China Telecom (CHA.NYSE; 00728.HK) in November 2014.
