Beijing Municipal Postal Administration signed an agreement with the system integration subsidiary of China Telecom Group, a sister company of China Telecom (CHA.NYSE; 00728.HK), on Thursday.
According to the agreement, the two sides will launch strategic cooperation in the construction of an informatization platform. China Telecom Group's subsidiary will provide discounts for the project. An official with the Beijing postal authority said the platform is an intellectual information management, commanding and dispatching system for the postal industry. It is expected to provide different technological supports for postal administrations and express enterprises.
