State Grid Corp., one of China's two power grid operators, lately decided to suspend its subsidy arrangement for fully grid-connected distributed power projects that has not entered the renewable energy subsidy catalogue released by the Ministry of Finance.
None of the distributed power projects launched in 2014 has entered the catalogue, disclosed Peng Libin, CEO of Junyang Solar. As fully grid-connected distributed power projects account a small proportion in all distributed projects in China, the aforesaid removal of subsidy would not affect the subsidy payment of the entire industry, said an analyst with Changjiang Securities.
