Funde Sino Life Insurance increases stake in China Coal Energy to 15 pct

Shanghai- and Hong Kong-listed coal miner China Coal Energy Co., Ltd. (601898.SH; 01898.HK) announced Friday night that Funde Sino Life Insurance Co., Ltd. acquired additional 661.6 million shares of the company through secondary market purchase at the Hong Kong stock exchange in the period from Sept. 3 to Oct. 8, according to a company filing with Shanghai Stock Exchange.

As of Oct.8, Funde Sino Life Insurance and its wholly owned Fund Resources Investment Holding Group Co., Ltd. owned 1.99 million H-shares of China Coal Energy, representing 15 percent of its total share capital.

China Coal Energy closed at RMB6.41 in Shanghai and HKD3.76 in Hong Kong on Oct.9.
