China Eastern Airlines (CEA.NYSE; 00670.HK; 600115.SH) said late Thursday that its net profits for the first three quarters of 2015 are estimated to stand at between 5.2 billion yuan and 5.4 billion yuan, up by the range of 153 percent to 162 percent year on year. In the first three quarters of 2014, the company earned net profits of 2.058 billion yuan.
Thanks to low prices of international crude oil and upgrading in household consumption, demand in the aviation market was robust, leading to its good performance, said the company.
