The cloud service arm of the world's biggest PC maker Lenovo Group (00992.HK; LNVGY.PK) publicized its virtual carrier business brand on Monday.

He Zhiqiang, Lenovo's senior deputy president, said the company will build a business model that integrates devices and services to create the best customer experience and establish close interactive relationship with customers

He said the telecom service business will enable Lenovo's customers to get reliable devices and network access with any device. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology publicized the plan on the test run of mobile telecom resale business in 2013, which stipulates that the trial will be completed at the end of 2015.

Besides Lenovo, China's leading mobile phone makers Xiaomi and ZTE (000063.SZ) also launched mobile telecom resale business recently. Telecom expert Liu Qicheng said Lenovo, XIaomi and ZTE will develop 50,000-100,000 customers by the end of this year with their advantages in content and hardware areas.

Analysts believe the good performance in the pilot operation stage will help virtual carriers to apply for formal licenses.
