Huadian Power International Co., Ltd (600027.SH) announced late Friday that the No.2 unit of its Shiliquan power plant's two 660MW ultra-supercritical power projects had got approval from the Shandong provincial development and reform commission.
With an investment of 1.928 billion yuan, the 660MW No.2 ultra-supercritical coal fired extraction condensing heating unit is expected to go into operation within 2017, according to a filing with the Shanghai Stock Exchange. The Shiliquan power plant is located in Zaozhuang city of east China's Shandong province, with its first 660MW power unit already being under construction.
