China top four insurers' investment income surges 71 pct Q1-Q3

China's top four insurance companies together made a investment income of 311.642 billion yuan in the first three quarters of 2015, surging 71 percent from a year ago, but the growth slowed down in the third quarter due to the fluctuations of the market.

Net income of China Pacific Insurance (Group) Co. Ltd (601601.SH; 02601.HK) and Ping An Insurance (Group) Co. of China, Ltd. (601318.SH; 02318.HK) respectively increased 67.8 percent and 52.4 percent to 15.036 billion yuan and 48.276 billion yuan in the first three quarters, outperforming other insurers.

New China Life Insurance Co. Ltd (601336.SH; 01336.HK)'s net income rose 36.7 percent to 8.644 billion yuan during the reporting period, growing faster than China Life Insurance Co. (601628.SH; 02628.HK)'s 22.8 percent.
