The Chinese carmaker Dongfeng Motor Corp. (600006.SH) recently received a seven-year loan in the amount of 825 million euros from the Export-Import Bank of China, which will help the carmaker ease financial worries after its acquisition of the French automaker PSA Peugeot Citroen.
Dongfeng Motor signed an agreement to buy a 14 percent stake in PSA Peugeot Citroen last year, the largest overseas M&A project in China's automobile industry so far. After the transaction, the Peugeot family's shares in the French car company are equivalent to shares held by Dongfeng Motor and the French government.
