China Southern Airlines (ZNH.NYSE; 01055.HK; 600029.SH), China's largest airline by fleet size, has deepened cooperation with Kenya Airways on freight transport. Based on sharing flight and cargo terminal resources, the first flight route has been smoothly operated between the south China city of Guangzhou and Nairobi, capital of Kenya.

At the initial stage, the cargo transport network between the two airlines covers destinations in Uganda, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe, and is expected to greatly improve transport efficiency and offer more options to the cargo owners. China Southern Airlines and Kenya Airways started cooperation on code sharing in as early as 2013, chiefly on air routes between Guangzhou and Nairobi.
