China's leading commercial vehicle maker Beiqi Foton Motor Co., Ltd. (600166.SH) has started construction of its pure electric truck and environmental engineering equipment industrial park in Changsha, central China's Hunan Province.
The industrial park will involve five billion yuan of investment in total. It will have annual production capacity of 50,000 units of automotive chassis and 20,000 units of sanitation trucks by 2017, when the first phase project is completed. The second phase project will boost the capacity to produce 100,000 units of automotive chassis and 60,000 units of sanitation equipment every year.
