China's leading IT company Baidu (BIDU.NASDAQ) signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with the provincial transport authority of east China's Jiangsu province on Tuesday.
The two sides will share data resources, application cloud computing platform, big data analysis products and technologies, and launch deep cooperation in the informatized traffic and transport service field.
According to the People's Daily, Jiangsu's transport authority will integrate and provide Baidu the provincial traffic data resources, use Baidu's cloud platform to do big data analysis, and provide travel services for the public. It is the first time for a provincial transport authority in China to provide traffic big data for an Internet company.
