China's resource cyclic utilization enterprise GEM Co., Ltd. (002340.SZ) announced on Thursday that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with ECOPRO about the nickel-cobalt-aluminum (NCA) anode materials.
Under the MOU, the ECOPRO agreed to entrust the Samsung SDI's lithium ion battery precursor manufacturing project to the GEM. ECOPRO is the globally second largest producer of the NCA anode materials and the only external supplier of the NCA anode materials to the Samsung SDI.
