Youku Tudou Inc. (YOKU.NYSE), a leading online video-sharing platform in China, incurred a net loss of 435.6 million yuan (68.5 million US dollars) in the third quarter of 2015, much higher than the 197.6 million yuan of net loss seen in the corresponding period of 2014.
According to Youku Tudou's third-quarter financial report published on Friday, the company raked in revenues totaling 1.85 billion yuan (291.8 million US dollars) in the third quarter of 2015, surging 62 percent from a year ago.
The company generated net revenue totaling 1.35 billion yuan (212.2 million US dollars) from advertisement business and 256.2 million yuan (40.3 million US dollars) from subscription services, interactive live video program and mobile games services, up 37 percent and 514 percent from the corresponding period of the pervious year, respectively.
