Chinese PV product manufacturer JinkoSolar Holding Co., Ltd (JKS.NYSE) saw its net profits fall 30.47 percent year on year to 195.1 million yuan in the third quarter of this year, the company said on Thursday in a statement on its website. The company's revenues reached 4.1 billion yuan in the third quarter, up 58.2 percent from the same period of last year.
Total solar module shipments were 1.1345 GW in the third quarter, including 70.6 MW earmarked for the company's downstream projects. Total solar product shipments to the third parties stood at 1.1077 GW in the third quarter, up 56.4 percent year on year.
The shipments consist of 1.0639 GW of solar modules, 10.4 MW of silicon wafers and 33.4 MW of solar cells. As of September 30, JinkoSolar had connected 846 MW of solar projects. In the third quarter, the company's solar power projects generated 233.7 GWh of electricity, up 207.6 percent year on year, and 205.8 million yuan in revenues, up 205.8 percent year on year.
With booming demand for solar products, the company has raised its guidance for third party module shipment in 2015 from 3.4-3.7 GW to 3.8-4.0 GW, said Kangping Chen, JinkoSolar's Chief Executive Officer.
