Sohu Video or Tv.sohu.com, an online video arm of Sohu.com Inc (SOHU.NASDAQ), said on Wednesday that it will earmark 200 million yuan in 2016 to directly support producers and put advertising space resources worth 3 billion yuan in the hands of the producers in the coming three years.
The Tv.sohu.com will continuously strengthen construction of a full-video platform featuring copyright videos, homemade videos and self media.
Data shows that a total of 1,800 self-media producers have joined the video arm's self-media platform, 56.com, with nearly 10,000 columns and about 350,000 videos, so far.
