China's listed filmmaking companies are betting on upcoming new-year celebrating movie theater schedule by arranging multiple new-year blockbusters on screens from November 27, 2015 to February 8, 2016, China Securities Journal reported on Thursday.
A total of 69 films are scheduled to be put on screens during the new-year period, which is estimated to range up some takings of ten billion yuan as seen in the previous year, the daily quoted an insider as saying.
The pending new-year movie theater schedule is expected to help fatten profits of listed filmmakers, including Zhejiang Huace Film & TV Co., Ltd. (300133.SZ), Huayi Brothers Media Corporation (300027.SZ), Beijing Enlight Media Co., Ltd. (300251.SZ), Shanghai New Culture Media Group Co., Ltd. (300336.SZ) and Beijing Jingxi Culture & Tourism Co., Ltd. (000802.SZ).
