VALIN Group, a major steelmaker based in Hunan province, has appointed Yi Zuo as its new general manager, replacing Li Jianguo for the latter's age concern.
Yi Zuo, born in 1962, has worked with Xiangtan Iron and Steel Company, a subsidiary of VALIN Group, since 1983. Meanwhile, Cao Huiquan has been appointed the party secretary of VALIN Group.
VALIN Group, the parent company of Shenzhen bourse-listed VALIN Steel (000932.SZ), has annual production capacity of 22 million tonnes of steel, ranking one of the top 10 in China.
