China's basic telecom operator China Telecom (CHA.NYSE; 00728.HK) launched three new 4G business packages recently, which all waived the charges on long-distance calls and roaming calls.
The Xinhua-run cnstock.com reported on Monday the new packages make customers to pay the same 0.15 yuan per minute for long-distance calls, local calls and roaming calls.
Analysts say China Telecom launches the new packages to echo the government's requirement on increasing Internet speed and lowering telecom fees, as well as to boost the further popularization and development of 4G business.
