China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), parent company of China's largest offshore oil and gas developer CNOOC Ltd. (CEO.NYSE; 00883.HK), announced Friday that gas transmission through the pipeline network in Guangdong, south China has topped 10 billion cubic meters since its operation. Guangdong built the largest provincial pipeline network operated by CNOOC, which mainly take in natural gas from East-West Pipeline II, Liwan 3-1 offshore gas field, and Zhuhai LNG company. So far, the Guangdong pipeline network has cumulatively transmitted 5.8 billion cubic meters of gas from East-West Pipeline II and 5 billion cubic meters of gas from Liwan 3-1 offshore gas field and Zhuhai LNG company to four power plants, two industrial gas users and 14 urban gas users in Guangdong.
