The Shanghai branch of Hyundai Motor Group (China) Ltd. will recall 19 imported Kia vehicles in China, the country's top quality watchdog said on Monday.

The recall, set to begin on May 27, affects 19 imported Kia K9 sedans manufactured between Feb. 14, 2014 and Sept. 8, 2015, according to a statement on the website of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.

The automaker said the headlights of the affected vehicles may blink temporarily during driving because of poor contact. It promised to check all affected cars and replace defective parts free of charge. Owners can contact the automaker via the hotline number 400-882-2060 for further information.
