Three state-owned Chinese carmakers, FAW Group Corp., Dongfeng Motor Corp. and Changan Automobile Co., Friday signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement in the central Chinese city of Wuhan.
The three will cooperate in innovation, whole value chain operations, overseas expansion and new business modes, according to the agreement.
They will set up an advanced generic technology innovation center, focusing on new energy, intelligence, internet connectivity and light weight.
They will boost the synergy in vehicle platform and powertrain technology and explore cooperation in products, business partners, manufacturing facilities and logistics overseas.
They plan to jointly explore new business modes, including ride-sharing and travel services.
