Beijing Tongrentang (Group) Co., Ltd. (TRT, 600085. SH), a famous pharmaceutical company of traditional Chinese medicine, unveiled the joint venture it established together with an Italian medical group in Italy's capital Rome on Monday, in a bid to promote traditional Chinese medicine culture.
The head of the Italian medical group said that as traditional Chinese medicine culture is increasingly popular in western countries, the cooperation with TRT can promote not only resource sharing and advantage complementarity but also research cooperation on the integration of Chinese and western medicine, improving the influence of traditional Chinese medicine culture in Italy and Europe.
According to TRT's deputy general manager Ding Yongling, this is the first time for TRT to launch products directly in the European Union market, which will bring direct benefits to local people and improve their knowledge about traditional Chinese medicine.
